Cademartori Construction is a residential construction company in Placerville, California. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers the site itself and the phone, text and email conversations that follow from it. It does not cover the terms of a construction contract you sign with us, which are set out in that agreement.
Information You Give Us
Most of what we hold, you handed to us on purpose because you wanted a quote.
The contact form on this site asks for your name, phone number, email address and a short description of your project. If you call, text or email us instead, we keep that correspondence so we can follow the job through from the first conversation to the final walkthrough.
When we come out to look at a project, we write down the site address, measurements, and notes on what you want built, and we photograph the existing structure. We need all of it to price the work accurately and to order the right materials.
Information Collected Automatically
Our host and any analytics we run record standard technical information when you visit: which pages you viewed, how long you stayed, the site or search that sent you, your browser and device type, and a general location worked out from your IP address.
This is aggregate traffic data. It tells us which pages people read. It does not tell us who they are, and we make no attempt to connect it to a name.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This site uses them for two purposes.
- Essential cookies that keep the site working, remember your session and let the contact form submit properly
- Analytics cookies that count visits and show us which pages are actually being read
How We Use Your Information
We use what we collect to run the business and to do the work you asked us to price.
- To answer your inquiry and put together a written quote
- To schedule a site visit and keep you posted as the build moves through each stage
- To order materials and coordinate the subcontractors a job needs
- To invoice you and keep the business records we are required to keep
- To handle permits, inspections and warranty questions on work we have completed
- To understand which parts of this website are useful and which are not
Calls, Texts and Email
If you give us your phone number, we will use it to reach you about your project. Confirming a walkthrough, giving you a delivery window, letting you know the crew is running behind. On a live job site that is the fastest way to keep you informed.
We do not run marketing campaigns and we will not add you to a mailing list. If you would rather we contacted you one way and not another, tell us and that is how we will do it.
Photographs of Completed Work
We photograph the work we finish. Decks, remodels, siding and new homes end up in the gallery on this site, and sometimes on Google or social media, because photographs of real projects are how most people decide who to hire.
Those photographs show the structure. We do not publish your name, your street address, your house number or anything else that identifies you or your family without asking you first. If you would rather your project did not appear anywhere, say so at any point and it will not.
How We Share Information
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. There is a short list of people who may see part of it, and only the part they need.
- Subcontractors and suppliers who need your address and the scope of work to do their piece of the job
- The county or city, where a permit application or an inspection requires it
- Our accountant and our insurer, in the ordinary course of running a licensed business
- Anyone we are legally required to give it to, or where we need it to establish or defend a legal claim
Third-Party Services and Links
This website runs on third-party infrastructure and embeds a small number of outside services. Each has its own privacy policy, and anything they collect is governed by their policy rather than by this page.
- Web hosting and content delivery for the site itself
- Google Maps, which draws the location map on our contact page
- Map tiles that render the El Dorado County service area on our home page
- Website analytics, which reports traffic in aggregate
- The form service that delivers your inquiry to our inbox
How Long We Keep Your Information
Inquiries that never turn into work are kept while they are still useful to answer, and for a reasonable period afterward in case you come back to us. After that they are deleted.
Records tied to a completed project we keep considerably longer. California sets minimum retention periods for contracts, permits, warranty and tax records, and a claim about construction work can be brought years after the job finishes. We keep what we need to stand behind our work and to meet those requirements.
Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect what we hold. This site is served over an encrypted connection, and access to inquiries and project records is limited to the people who need them.
No method of transmitting information over the internet is completely secure, and we are not going to promise otherwise. If you need to send us something genuinely sensitive, call us instead.
Your Choices and Your Rights
You can ask us to do any of the following at any time.
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong or out of date
- Delete it, where we are not required to keep it
- Stop contacting you, or contact you only one way
- Keep photographs of your project out of our gallery and off social media
California Residents
California law gives residents specific rights over their personal information, including the right to know what is collected, the right to have it deleted, and the right not to be treated differently for exercising either one. Some of those provisions apply only to businesses above a certain size, and a company this size sits below most of those thresholds.
We honor the requests listed above from any California resident regardless of whether the statute compels us to. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Children's Privacy
This website is meant for adults arranging construction work. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us something, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to This Policy
We will update this policy when the way we handle information changes. The revision date at the top of this page tells you when it was last altered. Material changes are posted here rather than sent to you individually, so check back if you want to stay current.
Contact Us
Questions about this policy, or a request about your own information, come straight to us. You will reach the person who runs the business, not a call center.
